Santa Barbara Student Lifesavers (SB SLS) is a UCSB student-run organization that aims to empower UCSB and its surrounding communities to save lives by implementing STOP THE BLEED® training courses at UCSB. By equipping young individuals with the skills to provide appropriate interventions, SB SLS seeks to reduce unnecessary loss of life due to controllable bleeding. 

The American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED® program has trained over 1 million people worldwide on how to stop bleeding in a severely injured person.
